Cleaning Structure of Robot Cleaner

1. Cleaning Structure - 2 types

<  Rotating Brush type > : iRobot, Samsung, LG etc.

< Vacuum Inhalation type > MamiRobot

2. Strong and Weak point in each type.

It's hard to say which type is better than the other. It depends on the environment.
So preliminary purchaser had better take into consideration where the robot cleaner will be used.

 1) Rotating Brush type
It has the rotating brush on the bottom, sweeping foreign substances in, and has the suction function as a supplementary means. That's because the space for rotating brush makes a gap and can not form enough vacuum between the bottom of the robot and the floor, reducing the inhalation power.
This styructure of cleaner is effective for cleaning the foreign material between the carpet furs and pick up a little rubbish like wastepaper or cigarette-butt with the brush rotated. Not for non-carpet floors.

 To sum up
 < Strong points >
- Effective for carpet cleaning
- Pick up watsepaper and visible debris

 < Weak points >
- Hairs and foreign materials are apt to be stuck around the brush.
- Not good for cleaning for minute dust and hairs
- Something dirty on the bottom of the device(especially around the brush)

 2) Vacuum Inhalation type
This type was developed to overcome the weaknss of Rotating Brush type, appling the existing technology of the ordinary wired vacuum cleaner to the cleaning robot. It's designed the dust intake always sticks fast to the surface to form a strong vacuum. So this type is more suitable for cleaning home and office floor surfaces such as wood, marble, tile, linoleum, and most low pile carpets.

To sum up

< Strong points >
- Excellent in cleaning dust and pets' hairs
- Easy to clean and maintain the device
- No brush ; Stir up no dust while cleaning

< Weak points >
 - Hard to pick up big rubbish like crumpled piece of wastepaper, beans and the like
 - Not good for high pile carpet

3.  Conclusion
You should do ask yourself about floor surface(whether carpet ot not) to be cleaned and which tpye of robot will be needed, before buy a new one.

Mamirobot - the Robot Cleaner at home in US

One friend of mine living in AZ, US brought a robot cleaner from his business trip to Korea.
The name is MamiRobot that I think means the robot like mommy.

He said it works well, especially wall edge and corner cleaning, and very convenient to clean some spaces under the beds, couches and tables.

MamiRobot in France - Intelligent Robot Cleaner

Here comes the intelligent home cleaning robot in France. It's MamiRobot.

The cyclone vacuuming is suitable for cleaning floor surfaces such as wood, marble, tile and linoleum. And It looks very good to wipe with a wet dustcloth.

Music is also gooood~

Robot Cleaner - Samsung NaviBot vs iRobot Roomba

Comparison of Zig-zag pattern and Random

Samsung cleaning robot recognizes the shape of the ceiling through the camera, identifing the area to be cleaned and determines the best way to pass over and clean every section of the floor.

iRobot robot cleaner does clean at random and vacuum the same spot several times, it seems really random. But it works according to the programmed cleanning patterns.

Have fun to watch

Way to Go! MamiRobot - Robot Cleaner

Samsung Tango vs. MamiRobot

Nowadays, a lot of robot cleaners are released.
Let's compare the two famous products.

MamiRobot
340mm*92mm/2.7kg

Samsung Tango
355mm*93mm/4kg

MamiRobot is lighter and a little more thin.
It seems to be very convenient to clean some spaces under the beds, couches and tables.

                                                                                     MamiRobot

The cyclone vacuuming offers an excellent cleaning service in inhalation of minute dust and hairs.
Vacuum inhalation raises no dust while cleaning.
At the same time, the surfaces can be wiped clean with the wet Microfiber Dustcloth.

Samsung Tango

Rotating brush sweeps the floor rather than inhale. It's not good for minute dust, but for a little bigger debris.

MamiRobot Dust Bin
Throwaway filter and anti bacterium material makes it sanitary, and the bin can be released easilly from the compartment and rinse it with tap water.

Samsung Tango Dust Bin
The dust bin can be easily separated, but you should take care not to spill the dust out of the dust bin.
And projection on the lower part in the bin makes it hard to empty the bin clean.

Overall,

Both MamiRobot and Samsung Tango are made in Korea and excellent robot cleaners. So it's hard to tell who is better.
Of course, they have their strong and weak points.

MamiRobot can do the vacuum cleaning and wipe the floor simultaneously, excels in inhalation of minute dust and hairs. Also it's very sanitary. But it has no self-charging function.
Samsung Tango works with the rotating brush, and has self-charging system and Virtual guard function.
It's doing well with a little big debris, but it may stir up dust while cleaning and be apt to spill the dust out of the bin.
